One picture of the happy family at 10 days old:

And here they're almost 2½ weeks old:

..... and almost ready to start exploring the world!

3 weeks old:

They have grown very nicely and are really starting to explore any thing at any time....

4½ weeks old in the next pictures:

clockwise: Yvar - Ditmar - Ditmar again - Halvar asleep - and Elmar, photogenic as ever....

All went well with the little guys until at the -too- tender age of 6 weeks I decided to give them cottage cheese once more, but this time it was a brand I had never had before. And they ate it and they all got very sick. One after another they got diarrhea, started to throw up and lost weight at increasing speed. For three long weeks we fought against this mysterious disease and finally they all ate again, got over their worst diarrhea and started to gain weight gram by gram. Just our little Yvar didn't get into the right gear, he got constipation and not one single action we took had any result.

In the picture above the kittens and their mother were having their afternoon meal, and you can see Yvar asking himself whether  he shall eat or not.

These two pictures are the last ones we have of him alive. It has taken me a long time to put them in the net and update the rest of this page as the loss of Yvar has been very very hard on all of us.
He was very dear to both human and feline members of our family.
We still miss him.

This picture was taken two weeks later. I hadn't taken any pics in between, I just couldn't bring myself to it some how.
From left to right: Halvar, Elmar, Ditmar, Waldemar and Jantar.
